Denmark Set for New Government Headed by Frederiksen

(MENAFN) Denmark is poised to usher in a new government led by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen after coalition talks concluded successfully, according to a report by media on Monday.

Frederiksen is scheduled to meet King Frederik X aboard the Royal Ship Dannebrog in the city of Odense, according to the official calendar published by the Danish Royal House.

The meeting is widely expected to formally confirm the creation of the new administration following the completion of negotiations between coalition partners.

In a post on Instagram, Frederiksen confirmed she was traveling to meet the monarch.

Details regarding the makeup of the new government are anticipated to be released after the meeting with the king.

The establishment of the new administration follows weeks of political discussions aimed at securing a stable parliamentary majority and finalizing the coalition agreement.
